Suffolk wins 5-3 Sunday to complete the weekend sweep

 The Adirondack Junior Wings tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Suffolk PAL would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

Suffolk made the score 5-3 on a goal by Tyler Murphy at 18:42 in the third period, after Adirondack got as close as 4-3 when Cameron Kuhl scored on the power play at 14:30 of the third period.

 

Cameron Smith had one goal and two assists to lead the PAL. Smith scored 3:21 into the third period to make the score 4-1 Suffolk. Michael Martino provided the assist.

Suffolk found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against the Junior Wings' defense.

Suffolk also got points from Matthew Gault, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Suffolk also got a goal from Christopher Seeback as well. In addition, Suffolk received assists from Michael Gilroy, who had one.

Adirondack's offense rang up 38 shots on the PAL's net. 

The Junior Wings were helped by Nicholas Oda, who had one goal. Oda scored 2:26 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Matt Flynn assisted on the tally. Andrew Bourdeau also scored for Adirondack. More assists for Adirondack came via Sam Vincent, who had one.

Stephen Mundinger made 35 saves for Suffolk on 38 shots. The PAL totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. Matt Cologgi made zero saves before being replaced by Chet Tooker, who took the loss and made eight saves. Adirondack incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
