Syracuse was led by goalie Matt Schneider, who finished with 34 saves while allowing one goal. Schneider certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.22 entering the contest.

The Junior Stars were led by Tyler OMara, who tallied one goal and two assists. OMara scored 10:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Syracuse. Mike Seifert picked up the assist.

Syracuse stifled Suffolk's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Syracuse additionally got points from Seifert, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Nate Zweig also scored for Syracuse. More assists for Syracuse came via Anthony Angello, who had three and Erik Kurz, Logan Warren, and Joey Rutkowski, who contributed one a piece.
